Oxford MBA Module Recordings
Once you have joined the mailing list, we will send you a link to video recordings of 8 lectures that comprise an MBA elective module taught in the summer term of 2021 at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School entitled ‘The Nature of the Corporation: Putting Purpose into Practice and the Economics of Mutuality’.
The module is led by Oxford Professor Colin Mayer CBE and features a range of expert speakers listed below. It aims to provide students with an understanding of the opportunity business leaders, investors, and policymakers have to reposition the corporation positively in ways that reflect the changing needs of society and the environment in today’s world.
It brings together material from many different parts of the MBA and MFE programmes, as well as breakthrough findings from the longstanding Oxford EoM Research Lab.

Putting Purpose into Practice Book and Webinars
Putting Purpose into Practice: The Economics of Mutuality was published in English by Oxford University Press in 2021 and in Chinese by China Translation and Publishing House in 2022.
It explores how the Economics of Mutuality empowers business to thrive by meeting the needs of the world. Editors Colin Mayer and Bruno Roche have compiled chapters written by responsible business experts, as well as in-depth case studies covering a wide range of contexts.
An accompanying webinar series ran between March and November 2021 featuring guest speakers including purposeful business champion Paul Polman and former Engie CEO Isabelle Kocher.
Oxford Economics of Mutuality Forums
Each year since 2016, students and leaders from around the world with influence in business, finance, policy, and education have met to discuss how the Economics of Mutuality can equip companies to transform the economic system.
In 2021, speakers included Former Apple Retail SVP Angela Ahrendts, BlackRock Managing Director of External Affairs Sandra Lawson, and Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff.
The Forum explored three critical aspects of accelerating the transition to a more responsible and purposeful form of capitalism: leadership, measurement, and investment.
